DESCRIPTION:
Walter H. Durfee, Providence, RI, weight banjo, cross banded case with Mt. Vernon tablet set, signed with Durfee circular logo imprint on movement of Waltham manufacture [dead beat mov't with maintaining power].
CONDITION:
our clue was the shredded cable end; it had broken allowing the weight to descend and knock off the bottom & bracket, which has been glued back on, but a couple of tell tale slivers are evident when you open the door. The background white paint on the tablets has started to lift and there are some flaked areas showing. There are some minor chips to the veneer at the corners. Clock is otherwise in very good original condition, with proper weight and pendulum and exceptionally nice dial. Glass in hood has a crack. Ht 41"
